I was standing in the mud lake lookout tower, the last remaining original fire tower in the Bob Marshall. Inside is a sign in book, along with diary entries from lookouts that were stationed there since the 1940s. I had hiked up to bring Cody horse and his companion back to camp after a hunter and his guide rode them up so they could hike down the mountain and hunt.
