April 3, 2021. Typically the chickens we raise for meat each spring eat and sleep and don't care much for us people. This bird was different, it followed us around and my daughter developed a relationship with it, enough to name it Snowball and hang out in the coop with it frequently. Our guardian dog Joe was jealous of the attention the chicken was getting and came over to visit with my daughter through the coop fence.
