Brain Dooley navigates to grab a piece of trash caught in a brush pile on the river bank. Missouri Stream Team clean up on the South Fork Jacks River from Alley Spring to Eminence, Missouri, USA on August 16, 2020. Typically, the Scenic Rivers Stream Team association organizes a full day ‘open to the public’ clean up on the Jacks Fork, covering about 44 miles and averaging 150 participants… ending in Eminence with a big potluck and raffle drawing (the last prize to be raffled is always a canoe or kayak). They also organize one day clean up events on the Current and 11-point rivers. This year with Covid, they did not want that many people to gather, so this smaller group planned a 7-mile float for the day and will pick up other stretches of the river throughout the year, organizing coverage with others in their association.
