After a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Mill's late wife Carolyn had decided to finally stop treatments, but on that same day told the doctor, "I want Mill to have someone for after I'm gone." To which the doctor replied, "That is the most unselfish thing I've ever heard!" After some tears and hugs between the doctor and Carolyn, she followed that up with, "But, I want to be the one to pick her!" To which the doctor endearingly said, "Now that is selfish!" And Carolyn and Mill proceeded to create a dating profile together for him which eventually brought Jan into the picture.
