Antony and Jenitha de Brum in Springdale, Arkansas on June 14, 2021. They have been together for about 12 years and have 3 kids. Jenitha works at the Arkansas Coalition for the Marshallese in the 'Center for Nonprofits' on 614 E Emma, the main street in downtown Springdale. Their group helps Marshallese learn how to navigate the life here in the states that's much different from their farming communities on the Marshall Islands. They have also been helping people to get back on their feet after Covid, where poultry plants only pay workers for 2 weeks if they are off and any time beyond that is unpaid. Antony works nights at the Cargill pountry plant, shipping out the birds. "Some of us Marshallese say that this is the country where it snows every day," Antony says referring to all the white turkey and chicken feather everywhere. He said some also call Springdale 'Bao'dale, which means 'Chicken'dale in Marshallese.
